The project as illustrared by the photo was to add material to each rib on the logo.The amount asked for was aproximately 3 thousandths of an inch. The ribs were burned too short because of an error in the EDM program. Technicians at Micro Fusion Technology sucessfully completed the project.
The Photos below are a before and after. The markup by the tool maker is evident in the photo on the left. The damage was caused when a grinder accidentally was buried into the steel. Technicians at Micro Fusion Technology were asked to apply material so the surface could be reconstructed. The problem was the proximity of the completed grid area. The surfaced to be repaired was about 10 thousandths of an inch higher than the grid. As illustrated by the photo on the right the project was completed without compromising the completed grid area.
